This podcast grew out of a simple observation: the people who felt most in control of their cases weren’t the ones who watched the most commercials. They were the ones who understood what was actually happening and why.

Originally from East Texas, Jessica began her legal career in 1999 as a Marine spouse stationed in North Carolina, gaining valuable legal expertise through her travels and experiences as part of a military and law enforcement family.
Inspired by her father, a deputy sheriff, Jessica pursued an associate’s degree in paralegal studies from Florida State College at Jacksonville, a bachelor’s in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a master’s in law from Florida State University College of Law, with plans to attend law school in 2025. Since 2022, she has worked as a paralegal and marketing manager for attorney Christopher Shakib at Terrell Hogan Law, where she is known for her dedication and expertise in serving clients.
